What would you like to tell us about the book?
I would recommend this book. Tangerine is one of the best books I have ever read. In the book, Paul Fisher, the main character moves to Tangerine County, Florida. Dealing with a violent brother and difficult family, Paul starts to live in a circle of lies. Soccer is Paul's passion and is a major part of the book. This book shows different points of view coming from different ways of living. It confronts poverty, crime, and many issues relevant to this world today. In Tangerine, things that seem perfect on the outside sometimes are collapsing on the inside. This book has showed me the struggle of being a citrus farmer. I saw how people with more resources didn't understand the circumstances of poverty. Reading it has compelled me to try harder to help those in need.
