Yes, I would recommend this book. Akata Witch is about a girl who has special abilities. She starts telling lies to her parents to go to a special magic school. There, she and her friends with magic abilites have to track down a world famous murderer. This book was an okay book. I would still recommend it, but in my opinion, I would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars.
