Japan attacked a military base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii because Japan wanted more power and land and they wanted to eliminate the US from their threat list by bombing Pearl Harbor. It didn’t work out so well because it immediately launched the United States into World War II joining England, France, and eventually Russia becoming known as the Allied Forces.
