If you could rewrite one part of the story, what would you change?
I feel like, while Sarah J. Mass is a great writer and her characters are very developed, her series' have the same predictable cliché characters. All her stories have the stereotypical aristocratic girl who was going to become either a queen or a very noble lady, but then all is deprived and because of that, she has to learn how to survive, either by hunting or becoming an assassin. She then meets a big strong male who saves her and just happens to also be rich, powerful and at least 200 years older than she is. If I could rewrite one part of the story I would probably make Yrene more stronger mentally because in this book while she is very smart, she is portrayed as being weaker than her male counterparts, and also make it so that she was middle class, or from a lower income family so that she is more relatable to.
