Would you recommend this book? If so, who would you recommend it to, and why? If not, why not?
In Laura Ingalls Is Ruining My Life, the main character, Charlotte, moves to Walnut Grove with her family so that her mother can write a bestselling book. But Charlotte hates it. In winter, it's freezing, people talk about Laura ALL the time, and it's just another place where Charlotte's mom can avoid responsibility. Plus, Charlotte and her twin brother, Freddy, are growing apart, and her normally cheerful mother and sister aren't "rainbow-finders" anymore, as Charlotte puts it.
Charlotte is a understandable character that I can relate to, there were some unexpected plot twists, and the book was just great overall. This is definitely a book that I would recommend.
