North of Nowhere is about a girl named Mia that goes to this elderly town with her mom, to comfort her grandma. Mia's grandparents own a pub, and Mia and her mom help out while they're there. The reason why they came to comfort her grandma is because the grandma's husband went missing. throughout the time Mia was in the elderly town, she was really bored, there weren't any kids around, and there wasn't any connection. Mia always takes the dog out for walks. Mia finds a diary on a rocking boat and couldn't resist to read it. The writer's name was signed D (Dee), Mia thought Dee was just like her by just her words. She wanted to meet Dee, she wrote in the Diary, back. 
Will they find her Grandpa? Will Dee and Mia ever meet? Will Mia survive in the town of boredom?
