The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

Would you recommend this book? If so, who would you recommend it to, and why? If not, why not?

"The War That Saved My Life" is an AWESOME book! If you did MCBA 2017-2018 you've probably read this book and you probably know that it won the MCBA award. If you haven't read it, you should!!! If you like historical fiction and don't mind kind of sad books you will like this book. It takes place during world war two and the book is about a girl named Ada and her little brother Jamie who live in a tiny apartment in London with their mother. Ada's mother never lets her go outside of the house because Ada has a clubfoot and she thinks it is too ugly to be shown in public. When there are warnings that London will be bombed Ada's mom wants to send Jamie away to a safer town where he won't be hurt. Ada escapes with him and together they have to begin a new life in a new town. This book is amazing and you should read it!!! :D :) :}

There is also a second book called "The War I Finally Won" which is by the same person. It's also really good.
