Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi

Would you recommend this book? If so, who would you recommend it to, and why? If not, why not?

If you like fantasy books and you love reading about mysterious quests I 98% guarantee this book will be perfect for you! :) Furthermore is about a young girl named Alice who has no pigment at all (except for her eyes) in a town where color is a sign of magic. A girl who is the color of fresh snow does not fit in in a town that relies on color. Three years before the story starts Alice's father was seen leaving Ferenwood (the town they live in) with only a ruler in his hand and with no explanation. He has never returned. Alice's mother has been snappish and rude to her ever since he left and Alice misses him terribly. :( Every year there is a display of talents (each child is born with one magic ability which is their talent) and a quest is given to match the talent. When one boy gets assigned to find Alice's father he fails and later begs Alice for help. To fin Alice's father they will have to travel through Furthermore a land where nothing is as it seems. This is an amazing book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The second book is called "Wichwood" :D
