The Trouble With Flying by Rachel Morgan

This book is about Sarah, a girl from South Africa flying to England for a vacation. When she flies back, she meets a boy she likes, and the boy asks her to distract him from the heights. When they get off and part ways, Sarah wants him back. She finds out that her boyfriend, Matt, is related to him. When they go to a family reunion, they finally reunite, and Sarah ends up writing a novel of fictional stories.
