The Children of Green Knowe, Lucy Boston

Toseland (or Tolly) finds himself on a train to go to live with his grandmother in a large house called Green Noah. Everything in Green Noah is old and it seems Tolly's family has lived there for generations. The house is large and great to explore and Tolly especially likes the stories about three childeren who used to live in Green Noah. Some stories, some magic makes this book great to read in an afternoon.
