There's a lot of tragedy and excitement and touching moments. I would say it's kind of gory. But that's coming from of a person who's too afraid to watch the Harry Potter movies cause Dumbledore dies in the 6th one.

King Arthur And His Knights At The Round Table by Roger Lancelyn Green
It's one of the many versions of the story of King Arthur. It's about how he becomes king and how he meets Merlin and how a lot of people die and how he slowly but steadily earns the loyalty of his people. It tells all these stories about the Knights at the Round Table and in the end it tells how Arthur dies.
