Bud, not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis

Bud, not buddy, is a touching story about an orphan who tries to find his father. It takes place during the great depression, which means that you feel as if you are in the great depression. The main character is Bud, a 10 year old orphan who lost his mother. He always carries around this suitcase, one of the things in it is a flyer for a band, which he thinks his father is in. He thinks this because it was his mothers poster. This book has many parts where you will laugh, because Bud does some pretty stupid things, there are times when you will gasp, but overall this book is definetly one to check out!
