This book is amazing! It is one of my favorite books. The book is about a girl called Katniss entering the Hunger games.Her sister was going to do it originally, but she decided to volunteer to help her sister. Hunger game is a cruel game. Only one district gets to win the game. Katniss is in district 12, which is one of the lowest district. By lowest, it meant that they have to do hard jobs to get a little amount of money. Lots of them are miners. Hunger games are like entertainment to other people who aren’t entering the game. Each year a girl and a boy get chosen to the hunger game, which is by luck. You only get to sign up for it when you are 13. So the girl from district 12 is Katniss, and the boy is Peeta. Peeta is a boy that gave a bit of bread to Katniss when she was starving. But Peeta was actually not allowed to do that. Katniss and Peeta’s instructor of the hunger game is always drunk. And because they are district 12, nobody really support them. But their stunning costumes amazed the crowed and they got a lot of supporters. The first three districts teamed up and targeted them. At first, Peeta was on the team with all of those district 1 to 3, Katniss thought Peeta was a jerk. But when she found out that Peeta was actually trying to protect her, she started to like Peeta. During the game, Peeta was very sick, and they needed medicine. The only place they can get it is from their supporters. They will donate money to them and they will use it to buy the supplies. Because Katniss want to save Peeta and also likes him a bit, she decided to act like that they are in love, ignoring the fact that Peeta is in love with her. So they kissed, and the crowd went wild. They immediately sent medicine to them because they want to know what will happen next. Katniss is very smart. My favorite character is little Rue. She is so kind, cute and very good at surviving in the forest. But she died, and the dying scene is really sad, and I hate that guy who killed her. When the district 11 guy killed the girl in district 2, I was so happy. I loved that scene! Watching it made me feel so so so good. The girl deserves that! The story also tells us about how unfair the rules or so called laws work in the society. The government made his game to show who really is the boss in the society, and to scare off rebels. But I think using innocent people’s death to get a rather peaceful society is mean, or evil. If I was the government, I will only put the rebels’ name in the glass ball, or just cancel the hunger game.
