In Real Life is a graphic novel about a girl who becomes in love with an online game, Coarsegold. Everything on the game seems to be, well, on the game! But as she digs deeper into her assignment of killing gold farmers, she realizes that there are people playing those gold farmers, and they have a story too. She has to use her mind and an online video game platform to help someone across the sea before it's too late
What Else Is New?
I accidentally brought this book home one day, but it wasn't mine. It was my friend's! But I didn't have any other books, so before I returned it, I read it. Surprisingly (to me) it was really good. This book tells the story of such a common mistake made when playing multi-player video games - people forget that there are other people behind the players in their game. This book shows (in beautiful pictures) this mistake, and how it can affect people. I think it is a really important book to read. I would give it a four-star rating, only because I've read a whole lot of good books!
