If you could be or had to become one character in the book, who would you choose to be and why?
If I could become one character in the book, it would be the main character Veda's grandmother, Paati. Paati is always there for Veda when she needs her, and never ceases to ease her pain and suffering, especially after the accident that leaves Veda in a state she never would have imagined. As a human being, I strive to be that kind of person, especially when it comes to family. Paati shows readers that family and support among family members are some of the most important aspects of life.
I recommend this book for audiences ages 10-13. It's not very difficult of a read, but the lessons it teaches create a powerful impact on the lives of readers of any age. This book shows how to support those in need, and more importantly, persevere through difficult times even when it seems like all hope is lost. Things will get better.
