This book is a realistic fiction, which convinces the reader to keep turning the pages. The book has kept me up at night, just to keep reading. It explores the events and feelings in the life of anyone in middle school. It shows the betrayal of friends and making new friends. Emily's pictures get around the school, Tab is mad at her friends ,and Bridge is caught up in the middle of the drama. The protagonist, Bridge and her friends Tab and Emily fight through the pain and hurt to find themselves as that perfect trio in the end. Rebeca Stead perfectly describes the hardships and fun in middle school all in one book.
