Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson

Chains is an amazing book that I read in class with my teacher and grade. I think that everyone enjoyed it, though I will admit that at times I didn't want to read it. Its about a girl named Isabel during the american revolution. One thing about Chains that I don't know if its good or bad is that at the end, it leaves you with a feeling of wanting to read the next two books, but, the reason that you will want to read more is that it ends on a cliffhanger! The author did an amazing job of painting the scenes into the readers mind, and giving Isabel's feelings to the reader. I could feel Isabel's hatred towards Madam Lockton. I could also feel her affection for Ruth, and her appreciation to Lady Seymour. I am left with a satisfied feeling at the end, and hope that anyone who reads this review also takes the time to read Chains.
