Deza Malone is the smartest kid in her class. Her older brother, Jimmie, is not, but he can sing like an angel. When the Great Depression causes her dad to leave to find a job, Deza, Jimmie, and mother follow, hoping to catch up with him. When Jimmie leaves to become a famous singer, Deza and her mother are left alone. But they never give up hope.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY READ IT!!!!!!!
