If you could rewrite one part of the story, what would you change?
I would change the ending of Number the stars so that Annemarie sees Ellen and gives her the necklace and the book ends with the two staring at a sunset thinking of all the hardships they faced in those years of the war. I mean they are the main characters and I don't think readers are supposed to think Ellen died or something. but over all this was a great book.
