Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

If this book were a food/color/song/smell, what would it be and why?
Willie Wonka's chocolate factory is the most famous in the world. However, 10 years ago, it stopped allowing people to go in. Then, all of a sudden, Mr. Wonka announces that five people will be chosen to tour the chocolate factory, and will receive an unlimited supply of chocolate. How does he choose these people? In five candy bars in the world there is a golden ticket inclosed. The lucky finder of a golden ticket will be one of the five. Charlie is a poor boy who lives with his loving family. He only gets one candy bar a year, on his birthday. Naturally, he doesn't find a golden ticket. But when he finds some money on the street, he never could guess how far $1.00 could take him.... If this book were a smell, it would be... wait for it... CHOCOLATE!
