Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott

Little Woman is an amazing book based on a true story. Four sisters- Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy all live with there mother "Marmee" in a house in New England. They are not poor but also not particularly rich. It is a lovely story about there family. In the absence of her husband who is fighting in the Civil War, Marmee must take care of her three girls with three different personalities; Meg, the eldest, is very polite and proper, Jo, the second eldest, is ambitious and headstrong (based on Louisa herself), Beth, the second youngest, is kind but sickly, and Amy, the youngest, is a carefree pretty little girl who grows up to be a posh lady. This story tells of their growing up, and the happenings when the girls meet their new neighbor, Laurie. This is a warm story that you will adore. My favorite character is Beth, because she is kind and hardly ever argues. My least favorite character is the editor who did not publish Jo's book.
