This is a book about a girl named Eleanor and a boy named Park. Eleanor is new at Parks school. She's very different from the other kids. Her clothes are all wrong, she always has weird scarves and tassels dangling from her wrists and hair, she feels like she's fat. Park thinks she's a freak at first, but then he falls in love with her. But she's always kind of guarded about the rest of her life. The story is told in both their perspectives.
