"The Chocolate War" by Robert Cormier

If you could rewrite one part of the story, what would you change?
"The Chocolate War" by Robert Cormier is about a high-school freshman named Jerry Renault . Jerry goes to a struggling boy's catholic school named Trinity. Trinity is running out of funding, so they hold an annual 'voluntary' chocolate sale. This year, they doubled the price and the amount to get more money. Every boy needs to sell fifty chocolates. Every boy says yes, except for Jerry. Jerry was forced to not sell any chocolates for ten days by a secret school society called the Vigils, of which a senior named Archie is the leader. However, Jerry continues to not sell any chocolates after the ten school days are up, sparking an all-out school war.

If I could change any part of the book, I would change the ending to a happy ending with Archie not winning.
