In the book the main character Q goes on to find this girl, that he used to be friends with when he was nine. But the girl runs away and he just feel/wants to find the love of his life.
But there are so many distractions in his way. He doesn't go look for her until the end of the book.
The book is about 305 pages.
There is a movie, but it is a bit different from the book.
