I love this book! I like how the three girls are all adopted but they get along as if they are sisters. They even make themselves a last name. My favorite character is Pauleen because she is an actress and that's what I want to be when I grow up. Sometimes she can be a bit vain, but most people are at one time or another. I have also seen the movie of ballet Shoes and was astonished of how similar the movie and book were, and how the movie makes the characters in the book EXACTLY how I imagined them.
I have read other shoe books by Noel Streatfield which were also good, but none of the characters in the other books seemed as true to life as the ones in ballet shoes.
