But as winter streches on and the ice berge refuses to break, soon they will find out there might be a traitor in there city. Then a hideos gas came through the fortress wall, and the claustrophobia slowly turns the prisoners of winter fight. The book Stargirl is by Jerry Spenelli. Stargirl’s real name is Susan, but she has also gone by Pocket Mouse, Mudpie, and Hullygully. Stargirl is in the eleventh grade in High School. She loves to play the ukulele and do cheerleading. Stargirl lives in Arizona with her mom and dad.
Leo is telling us about Stargirl. The Hot Seat is a t. v. show that Leo and Kevin are in charge of. Leo is the director and Kevin is the one who asks some questions and the audience asks some questions. When Stargirl came into the show her rat came. The audience asked hard questions and this was the worst Hot Seat ever and they had to shut down.
When it’s a birthday, Stargirl sings Happy Birthday on her ukulele. Dori Dilson and Archie are friends with Stargirl. Archie is a paleontologist who studies bones. Dori Dilson is a girl who writes poems in a loose leaf notebook about herself and whose name nobody new until the day she sat at Stargirl’s table. During a basketball game, Stargirl began with an exaggerated ball bouncing motion. Stargirl loves Leo as a boyfriend. Stargirl and Leo went to the U.S Department of Interior in Sonoran, a desert not like the regular sand in a beach to meditate. Stargirl is different from everybody else because Stargirl doesn’t care what anybody thinks or says about herself like when she sings the Happy Birthday song in the cafeteria and people think it is very weird. -Penelope

Mr.L who Cass thinks he is (Lucianio) and Ms.Movey an evil woman who stole Benjamin Blake and took him there. They are looking for a secret from a magician that died. He left behind a notebook which contains everything other than the secret. They blame it on Cass and Max Earnest and they got kept in their so called"jail". Will they get out? When they finally do, his brother, sister, and him go exploring on the space craft. Then something happens and they land in the new land before everyone else. Mattimeo is a sequel to Redwall. It is about Matthias's son Mattimeo. When Mattimeo gets captured by Slagar The Cruel, Matthias is more than outraged. Mattimeo learnes that being a warrior is a lot harder than just waving a sword to save Redwall. It takes bravery to run after those you love and to do everything you can to bring them back. On this dangerous quest Mattimeo changes from the fun mouse who isn't always on his best behavior to a mouse who is a lot like his father.
Matthias, when he learnes that his son has been taken by Slagar The Cruel, goes out to save Mattimeo. On the way to saving his son he meets Cheeky the young otter, a humongous hedgehog family, and a big badger. He also loses one of his best friends, War Beak Queen of the Sparra Warriors. He also gains help from old friends of the GUOSIM.
The reason I chose this book was because I really liked the book Redwall which is also by Brian Jacques. -Lixing

So, he followed her. When they got close they hid behind a car and they saw their dad talking to a guy. They were talking about Per Ankh. Carter & Sadie didn't know what they wre talking about. When they were about to leave their dad couth them and asked them what they were doing.

As i was saying this world is wired not much people live in it so its possible for your baby to just get killed. And this kid name Jonas is about to turn twelve and the giver in this book is about to give him a job. Read this book to find out how Jonas receives this gift and what he does with it. -NARINKA

The Warlock by Michael Scott

The Warlock is the sequel to the Necromancer. Prometheus and both of the Flamels escape Prometheus' dying Shadowrealm and flee to Tsagaglalal house, She Who Watches, also Abraham the Mage's wife. Sophie and Niten also flee to her house. Black Hawk, the servant of Quetzalcoatl, brings Mars Ultor, Hel, and Odin to her house, all of them except Black Hawk wanting to kill Dee. Tsagaglalal turns out to be Aunt Agnes, Sophie and Josh's babysitter. She gives them each a jade tablet engraved with a message written by Abraham the Mage. Mars, Hel, and Odin set out to kill Dee, and Sophie is taught Earth Magic. Meanwhile, the Danu Talis group is caught by anpu, the guards and soldiers of Danu Talis. What else is new?

Im in a spasm right now. I havent been in a thundstorm this loud for like I dont know how long. I was going for a snooze and I hear the loudest cackle of thunder. I literally peed in my pants. The other worst time I was in a storm but worse was when I went to my All-Star basketball game at the CRLS and I left. It started raining aft I got out the building, then started to literally like drop buckewts of water on me before I got to the library. I took the shortcut. The path between the tennis court and library. Which was only supposed to take 15 seconds. I called my mom then hear thunder, but worse at the volume. When I get downstairs to the gound floor, I see people crowded in that little space between the outside doors and the second set of doors. Im like whats going on? The I squeeze myself through the crowd with my pleases and thank yous to the front of the crowd and see branches thrown across the lawn. BIG BRANCHES. i step put and tell m y mom lets go and people look at me like im psycho. My mom yells at me and tells me to get back inside. A couple minutes of staring at the rain, all the doors to the library just fly open. I helped with the doors but there was no use. So I just let go of the doors and let them do their own thing. These teenager took off their shoes and took off in the rain. Eveyone started laughing. I thought it was a smart and fun thing to do. 10 minutes later a librarian comes and tells us that we had to go because they were closing in 2 min. And so I started running in the rain having fun when my brother and mom were afraid they would get the books wet. They didnt know what fun they were missing out on. -Beftu

On his birthday his mom decided to get a dog at easy pet. Hal found a dog with a fleck in one eye thats why he named it Fleck. one day when Hal was coming back from home Fleck was gone Hal searched everywhere for him but he didn't find him. Hal didn't know that easy pet was a rent a pet agency and nobody dares to tell him that. I like this book beccause it is dramatic. -Ming

(Also, in her town, there is a law stating that everyone has to wear gloves at all times, because years ago, Josephine's father and the mayor were playing a card game called 5 card-stud, and Josephine's father won, but instead of taking the mayor's money, he said told the mayor that if he makes a law saying that people have to wear gloves all the time, the mayor wouldn't have to give him any money. it is about a girl named Ronnie and her two friends Fleur and Claude. All 3 of them are in this club they made up called LBD, which stands for Les Bambinos Dangereuses. the whole book is about how they have to plan this concert for July 14th. They planned the whole thing such as succesfully convincing the principal to let them use the school grounds for the concert, holding auditions for groups that wanted to sing in the concert, selling the tickets, raising enough money for the props, and making the concert a success! -Ruby

This book has a very funny format in which the anuthor decided to wirte in. It goes from the reader asking questions fpr the "scientist" to answer , and it basically goes back and forth. The Book Thief by: Markus Zusak

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!! Markus is a very good writer i recommend this to anyone looking for a good book. its about a girl liesel and how she lives in Nazi, Germany when hitler and the holocaust. she steals books and has her foster father teach her had to read and write.
the book is narrated by death which is very interesting, deaths point of view is.... interesting not every book has the narrator be death so for me it was good. The Necromancer by Michael Scott

The Necromancer is the sequel to the Sorceress. Josh, Sophie, and Nicholas meet up with Perenelle. Sophie is kidnapped by Aoife, Scathach's twin sister, who wishes to know where her twin went. Aoife takes Sophie to her friend Niten's house, where the rest of the Flamel group go. The two "groups" resolve their problems. They ask Prometheus to teach Josh Fire Magic, which he does. Mars helps Dee enchant josh to come to him. Dee makes Josh a necromancer and orders him to raise Coatlicue, mother of all gods, an Archon. Dee puts a spell on Josh to make him think Coatlicue is incredibly beautiful. Sophie, Aoife and Niten arrive, and fight Virginia Dare, an immortal who makes a deal with Dee, Dee, Josh, and Coatlicue. Sophie attacks Coatlicue, which shocks Josh, because of the spell Dee placed on him. Aoife pulls Coatlicue and herself back into the portal where Coatlicue first came from, telling Sophie to tell Scathach that she di d this for her. The Dee group leave the Flamel group to die. Meanwhile, Joan of Arc and Scathach are pulled into a portal to a Shadowrealm. and are soon joined by Palamedes, Shakespeare, and Saint-Germain. The hook-handed man, Marethyu (name meaning "death") time travels back in to the time before Danu Talis sank.

The Sorceress is the sequel to The Magician. The Flamel group (not including Scathach) flee to London. Palamedes, the Saracen Knight, brings them to his fortress, Where they meet William Shakespeare. Dee, Bastet, Cernunnos the Archon, and Cernunos' Wild Hunt attack Palamedes' fortress. The Flamel group escape and request Gilgamesh the King to teach Josh and Sophie. Josh throws Clarent at Dee, but must leave the sword to survive. Dee picks up the sword and watches as it fuses with Excalibur. clockwise is about a girl in high school and travels back in time ans she started when she was 9 years old. then one day when she traveled she accidentally took her crush back in time and no one new about this except for her best friend who she accidentally took back in time to.along her journey she met people in the 1900's and she also met a couple of other people who were time travelers. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian By Sherman Alexie

The book I read so far this summer was called The Absolutely True Dairy of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie and I think the book was very funny and once you start reading it you can't put the book down! So the book is about a native american boy named Arnold and he likes drawing cartoons and through out the book you can see Arnold's cartoons he drew based on the events that happened in the story! But Arnold gets bullied a lot in his high school because he has cerebrospinal fluid which in other terms mean "Water in the brain". So he has a lot of physical problems like he's very skinny and he has big hands and big feet. And he get seizures sometimes and people at his school give him a hard time by calling him a retard and big foot and all those hurtful names. His only friend at his school is the toughest kid at his school named Rowdy. In overall, I think this book is fantastic because there are a lot of shoc king things happening in this book and I bet it's going to keep you on the edge of your seat! But I do have to warn that this book has a lot of bad words and deals with stuff like alcohol and masturbation. So I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!!!!!! -Dewayne

Physics tells me a lot about the universe. This book talk from the perspective of things as small as leptons, and this as large as earthquakes. It was fascinating learning about what we we're made of. A lot of things I wondered about were mentioned in this book. Overall, reading it was a great experience. -AbdurRahman

It si about this girl named Kaitlyn that has psychic powers. she lives with only her dad, and they are trying to scrape together as much money as they can. Then, one day at school, Kaitlyn is sent to the principal's office because someone is there. Kaitlyn reconizes there that it is Joyce Piper that did some vision screening last fall. so, Joyce then tells Kaitlyn about an institute for people like her that have psychic powers, and the institute is in L.A. Also Mr. Zete, the founder of the place will give Caitlyn a full scholarship to the place. anyway, the whole story is really how she goes to the institute and meets 4 other kids with psych powers. Rob, he can heal people with his energy. Lewis, he can move things telepathicly, Gabriel has telepathic memory, that comes in handy throughout the book, and Anna, she can talk to animals when she looks at them in the eye. So the book is about how kaitlyn falls in love with Rob, how they find o ut that Mr. zetes, and Joyce Piper are out to get them, how Gabriel uses his telepathic memory to go to all 5 of their brains, but then they find out the only way to get rid of it is if someone ies, how they have to run away in a stolen car, how they have to surrive, and how they all have to risk their lives for each other! -Ruby

This book contains many stories that each have a lesson in them. Often the problems are between animals in the jungle. Lions and tigers are king and rulers of the forest. They're also ferocious killers. Almost every human is either a hunter or a rich, evil merchant. Friendships are made between wise animals that would gladly give their lives for one another, but many animals are tricked into being eaten. I learned many interesting things from these stories. The team finds a puppy in a lab by accident who is purposely infected with a virus which is not supposed to affect humans, but the group all catch it and are experiencing changes in their DNA. The group must solve the possible murder case and deal with their changing senses.

Wicked Lovely is the first book in a series of 5. The protagonist is a 16 year old girl named Aislinn who is among the few mortals (normal people) that is able to see faeries. The faeries have ignored her all her life just like it was supposed to be, until one day Kennan, the faery summer king, had dreams about Aislinn and has begun to follow her, determined to make her fall for him. Aislinn's life changes as she must stop running and hiding and face the faery world.
This book is a thrilling story that has a mix of romance, fantasy, action, and suspicion.
I enjoyed how the faeries weren't the "good guys" in this story as they usually are in other books. I read this book all in one sitting and couldn't wait until the library opened the next day to go get the next book in the series! -Sofia

He also helps the kids of Idaville in the summer, and he sets up his own detective agency. Nothing get past this kid. In this story, he recovers marbles, outwits other detective agencies, and solves a bank robber problem that didn't even take place in the U.S.A. -AbdurRahman

Much Ado About Anne by Heather V. Frederick

These girls are in 7th Grade. Their mothers created a Mother-Daughter Book Club when they were in 6th grade. This book is a series. So there are books for when they were in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. This year they are reading Anne of Green Gables. They meet at each others houses for every moth they have a meeting. The Queen Bee Becca Chadwick (considered one of the 3 most popular girls in the 7th grade) is invited into the book club by all the mothers. Becca is a enemy to the daughters of all the other mothers. The main characters in this book are Cassidy, Meghan, Emma, Jess. Becca becomes more of a main character in the next book. -Beftu

The giant serpent eats the sun in the story, thus creating doomsday. The only thing that can stop him is the destruction of his shadow. After the ice cream man died, the serpent put himself inside a giant chicken. Carter and Sadie, the two magicians must find his shadow and destroy it, before chaos wins. -AbdurRahman

All the books in the series are great, but I think the first is the best. While reading this, I got to learn how Encyclopedia's career as a boy detective got started. He solves his first big case at the dinner table and his father gets a new respect for his son. I learned how he got his partner, and how they met. I understand his first problems, and I understand how much he's progressed throughout the series. I also learn how he got his enemies, and what lengths they would go to to make him disappear.

This is a series you'll definitely love if you've read and loved D. Gray Man. It is similar to D. Gray Man in many ways. One being similar story lines with demons, an organization dedicated to killing the demons, and characters having special abilities. This is series is also good at incoprirating lots of action but still adding in tons of humor. Overall, if you've read D. Gray Man and Loved it, this series is a must read. -Amireh

This book is part of a series that has a kid named Encyclopedia Brown. This kid's head has more facts than an encyclopedia. Ever since he proved that to the world, His nickname has been "Encyclopedia". He lives in the town Idaville, and thanks to him, anyone who breaks the law doesn't get away with it. His father, the chief of police, asks him about cases he can't solve, and Encyclopedia figures them out within a few minutes. He aslo helps the kids in Idaville when school is out. In this book he recovers money from a medical center, finds stolen false teeth, and out smarts a seven foot tall giant- just the kind of thing fifth graders do every day. I got some new books by Malcolm Gladwell at the library, and am having a great time reading them!

Encyclopedia Brown is a fifth grader with a brilliant mind. He knows so many facts that he has been nicknamed "Encyclopedia". In this book, he catches smugglers, sneaker thieves and cracks seemingly impossible codes. All in a days work for a boy genius. I borrowed most of the Encyclopedia Brown books in the series from the library near me. It's been great reading them.

It's about a girl named alice who falls down a rabbit hole while chasing a white rabbit that has a watch in it's hand. Alice soon finds the world Wonderland, where there is a Mad hatter, the red, and white queen, a talking cat that can turn invisable, and many other talking animals. one night, nancy drew and her friends are going to a party. On their way home, they see a guy in the grave yard, and they think that he lookd like a vampire. Nancy Drew wants to prove that he is not a vampire, so she goes over to his house. there, she learns that there is a coffin in the middle of the room, and she learns that his skin cannot touch the sun. George(girl) one of nancy's friends, is a computer geek and she hacks into the cameras at the guy's house so she and her friends can make sure Nancy is ok. The problem for Nancy, is that what ever she finds out, it makes the guy seem more and more like a vampire. There is volume 1 and 2 in this series.

The mother ends out buying him, because the mother is really Abilene when she is older and with her daughter.
The author makes Edward's charcter like it is some how alive but it does not talk. Edward only thinks!

It all starts out when Charlotte is at lunch. she notices her zipper is open so she trys to zip it up, then she says she needs to go to class and quickly stands up, but she had zipped the table cloth in with her zipper and all the food goes flying! she gets very embarrased. throughout the book, Katani the principal's grand daughter, Avery the popular soccer player, Maeve the girl that wants to become a famous singer, and Charlotte, become friends. The girls soon find out there is a secret tower in the house that Charolette and her dad are renting. So, everyday, the girls hang out there after school.
the problem is, is that one of the rules the landlord of the house said is to not go up stairs of have any pets, but the girls break both of those rules. Soon the landlord and charlotte's father find out, but the landlord says that they shouldn't have broken the rules, but that they can still play up there and since the girls can't keep the dog that they found in the park, she will kepp it, and they could take care of it and visit it.

At first when Lucy tells her brothers and sister what she found, they don't believe her, but then Edmund finds the land and her then believes her too. and then Peter and Susan the eldest of the bunch start believing Lucy too because they also see the land. They have many adventures in Narnia! There are also other books in this series.

Jason a son of zeus finds himself on a bus next to a girl named piper who is a daugther of Aphrodite and Leo a son of Hephaestus and has no idea how he got there. Jason keeps telling his friends that he has no idea how he got there. Then the storm spirts attack them at their feild trip to a dam and their friend coach Hedge gets captured and taken away. Then they are brought to camp Half blood and are said to go on a dangrous quest. They go threw all weird places and they find coach Hedge in a underground shop. They rescue coach but they still have a long way ahead and jason meets his long lost sister. I like this book because it has a lot of action and adventure in it and i think 5th gradres and up would injoy it but it is long. The whole book is 553 pages. -Jacob

Into the wild by Erin Hunter

A cat named Rusty goes into the woods to look around. there he catches a mouse, and another cat named Blue-star sees him do that. Blue-star is the leader in a clan called Thunderclan. Rusty soon gets to join the clan. He learns that there is three other clans in the forest; Riverclan, windclan, and shadowclan. They have battles with each other and meetings. If you are a kitten that was born in the forest by one of the cats in the clan, then you start out as a kit, then when you are six moons old (months), you are an apprentice, then when the leader of the clan thinks that you are ready to be a warrior, then you can get your warrior name. You even might become a leader if you are told to be deputy and then the leader dies. If you are a leader then you have to have the word "star" in your name.

this is a book in a very long series. Rusty ends out being calles Firepaw when he is an apprentic, then Fireheart when he becomes a warrior, and Firestar when he becomes clan leader for Thunderclan!

Amy had been driving but since it was raining so hard, she lost control of the car, and hit a tree. she wasn't wearing her seat belt because she hates how it has to go over your shoulders. soon amy is pronounced brain dead and Erin has to decice wheather to let people donate her organs or to just keep her on the machine that is keeping her heart beating. -Ruby

Its about this new guy that comes in to the school the original teacher is not here. the new teacher mr.smith is been acting a little weird. Susan has a funny feeling about him. So she decides to follow him home after school. After susan sees that mr smith take his mask off susan is prooved that mr.smith is an alien. So susan tells peter the class brain because she is the only one she can trust and belive. So they both decide to go back during school so mr.smith is not there and they go to the attic and see the original 6th grade teacher ms.schwartz. she tells them that broxholm/mr.smith is going to take 5 kids. They have to warn them before they take the kids. At the end broxholm takes only peter because he is the smartest one. -Sahil

A girl named Fern lives on a farm. one day some piglets are born. her father then goes to the barn with an ax to kill one of the piglets because it is a runt. But then Fern gets to keep it for a pet. She names the pig Wilbur. they also meet a spider named Charlotte. But she ends out dying at the end of the book, because she said that once a spider lays it's eggs, then it means it is like the end of their life cycle. Wilbur also wins a gold medal.

judy is jealous of almost every one in her class especially jessica finch because evryone is famous except judy.she gets oppertunities to get famous but somehow her bad luck shows up in that time. but for the first time she got lucky. Her friend frank gets hurt in his pinky. so they take him to the doctors and in the hospital there was a kids room to play in. Judy saw a bunch of old dolls and they were broken. she decided to take them and fix them. She fixed them and looked almost as brand new and thats what made her famous jus like the others. -Sahil

Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel- MOVIE

Alvin and the chipmunks kind of in the the bottom because the chipettes stole their spotlight because of their former manger Ian Hawk. Ian hawk lied about how the chipmunks didnt treat him well. He told the chipettes that so the chipettes would bring ian hawk back to the top. But luckily The chipmunks have a chance to get back on the top in their music school program. It for saving the music in their school. but alvin is late for the performance. Since tobey their babysitter(dave is in the hospital) wanted to be nice and sing until alvin arrives with the chipetts. By the way the chipettes just found out that ian was lying and alvin went to save them. After they arrive they sing together and they won the contest.so the chipettes decided to stay with them and lived happily ever after. -Sahil

Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyers

The last last book is about how Bella and Edward get married, on their honeymoon Bella finds out that she is pregnant, and Carlisle the vamp that turned the rest of his family into a vamp takes care of bella since he is a doctor. Everybody thinks she will die, because the baby inside her is half vampire and half human, so the baby wants to drink her blood. then bella starts feeding it by drinking blood even though she is a human. Then, she gives birth to the baby and nearly dies but edward sticks his venom in her to save her. Jacob also inprints on the baby. Bella lives, and she and edward start raising their new baby which Bella names renesmee from combining Bella's mother's name Renee, and edward's mother's name Esme. Bella is now a vampire and she has the ability to shield other vampires or werewolves from other harmful powers. Renesmee has the ability to show people her thoughts when she puts her hand on their cheek. Th en Bella, Edward, Renesmee, Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Jasper, Emett (Edward's adopted brothers) and Alice (His other adopted sister) have to almost fight but end out talking with the voulturi, because the voulturi find out that there is a new vamp/human in the world.

Its about this dog named winn-dixie that this girl finds in this store called winn-dixie. And the girls dad is a priest in a church. Winn-dixie has a problem when thunder storm happens. so one day they were at this party with this woman who is blind in her house (the other kids think that she is a witch) one time a thunder occured in that party and people were going inside the house because they were praying outside so 5 minutes later after the people settled Opal find out something is missing Winn-dixie! So Opal and her father started to look for Opals dog but they couldn't find Winn-Dixie! After they looked for a while they still couldnt find the dog. so they returned back to the party and suddenly 2 minutes later winn-dixie showed up. Opal couldnt be happier. They lived happily ever after. -sahil

Edward, Jacob, Bella, and Edward's vampire family have to ask their rivals the werewolves to help them fight new born vampires and a vampire that is not a new born named Victoria that is out to kill Bella, because Edward killed Victoria's love Laurent. Edward ends out killing Victoria and he also Proposes to Bella. She says YES!
(also in the book, one of my favorite moments was when Jacob kissed Bella, but Bella didn't want him to, so she punched him, but broke her hand doing it because his face was so hard since he is a werewolf. Then he says "next time try to hit me with a baseball bat or a crowbar").

New moon by Stephanie Meyers

Edward leaves Bella because whenever she is with him, she always gets hurt because he is a vampire (other vampires hurt her) so he dosen't wany her to get hurt anymore, so he and his family leave her. when he is gone, Bella starts hanging out with jacob, who she finds out is a werewolf. but she still hangs out with him. Bella still misses Edward and she finds out that whenever she does something harmful to her, she hears and sees edward in her mind, so to hear his voice, she jumps off a cliff, because she saw people go cliff diving, but she just wanted to hear Edward's voice. so she does it, and almost drowns but jacob saves her. Edward on the other hand sees what happends because he can read Jacob's mind (but not Bella's) and he thinks Bella is dead, because he didn't see Jacob save her. Then Rosalie, one of Edward's adopted sisters that is also a vampire, says that Bella is dead because she dosen't like Bella. Edward then goes to italy to go see the Voulturi to have them kill him. But bella saves him, and he finds out that she is not dead. -Ruby

She goes down to stay with her dad in Forks, Seattle for high school and soon meets a very cute and pale guy named Edward Cullen. Throuh out the book, you find out that edward is a vampire and so is his adopted family. Bella and Edward fall in love. A vampire named Laurent is out to kill Bella because she is a human and he wants her blood, he eventually bites her on the wrist making his venom go into her, breaking her leg, and making her break many other bones. At the end of the book, Edward takes her to prom, and she wants him to turn her into a vampire just like him and his family.

One day she was in this room and she found this door. She went in and she met her fake parents or should i say her new parents. I like this book because its so interesting. It talks about how she found a door and she went through it. She met her fake parents in front of the door. Her fake parents infront , and all the way through the book she did not want to be there any more. she wanted to be back with her real parents.
This book was like a horror book and adventure book.One thing that was interesting was how the fake mom put the key in her mouth the key was to open the door but she swadowed it. Plus she got to run away to find her real parents.

Darkwing by Kenneth Oppel

I think this is a really good book for 5th and 6th graders, maybe up, but the reason i like Darkwing is that it's really full of adventure. This book is about a mythical creature which is called a chiropter (its like a bat), and in this book they glide not fly. But theres a chiropter who can fly and the community doesn't like it. Meanwhile there are these other animals that made a treaty not to eat meat from other mythical creatures. But a few of those animals break the treaty and come their area to eat them. Read to find out what happens next!
There are also other books by Kenneth Oppel and i think you should try them!
