Nicholas Benedict is an orphan with a brilliant mind. He is nine years old and is sent to a horrible orphanage, but Nicholas still believes that things can work out. But there are enemies everywhere, and many will do anything to get even with him. A gang known as the spiders make Nicholas's life miserable. However, there is more to this mysterious orphanage than meets the eye. The shifty director of the orphanage is hoping to solve it's money issues by finding a missing treasure.
