Wicked Lovely is the first book in a series of 5. The protagonist is a 16 year old girl named Aislinn who is among the few mortals (normal people) that is able to see faeries. She lives with her grandmother who also has "the sight" and both live my the golden rule of "do not let faeries know you can see them." The faeries have ignored her all her life just like it was supposed to be, until one day Kennan, the faery summer king, had dreams about Aislinn and has begun to follow her, determined to make her fall for him. Aislinn's life changes as she must stop running and hiding and face the faery world.
This book is a thrilling story that has a mix of romance, fantasy, action, and suspicion.
I enjoyed how the faeries weren't the "good guys" in this story as they usually are in other books. I read this book all in one sitting and couldn't wait until the library opened the next day to go get the next book in the series! -Sofia
