Sarah is a 13 year old scholarship girl who is desperate to fit in and make some friends at her new school. Her teacher convinces her to go on an optional science-class field trip to the Everglades and she reluctantly agrees to go. But the kids that sign up as well are anything but friendly to her and she is still feeling alone and miserable. When she meets a cute guy that works there and he invites her to go to a boat ride in the Glades, she agrees even though it is not allowed to go off alone. During their outing, the boat sinks and they are left stranded with little food and no means to get out. They must travel a great distance and conquer their fears if they wish to make it out alive. -Sofia
