I is about this girl named Josephine that lives with her father. One day she is coming back from the shed, and a boy appears, but dosen't speak. Josephine gives him some food to eat and then reads him a story until he falls asleep. Then when her father gets home, the boy dissapears! (Also, in her town, there is a law stating that everyone has to wear gloves at all times, because years ago, Josephine's father and the mayor were playing a card game called 5 card-stud, and Josephine's father won, but instead of taking the mayor's money, he said told the mayor that if he makes a law saying that people have to wear gloves all the time, the mayor wouldn't have to give him any money.
