The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian By Sherman Alexie

The book I read so far this summer was called The Absolutely True Dairy of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie and I think the book was very funny and once you start reading it you can't put the book down! So the book is about a native american boy named Arnold and he likes drawing cartoons and through out the book you can see Arnold's cartoons he drew based on the events that happened in the story! But Arnold gets bullied a lot in his high school because he has cerebrospinal fluid which in other terms mean "Water in the brain". So he has a lot of physical problems like he's very skinny and he has big hands and big feet. And he get seizures sometimes and people at his school give him a hard time by calling him a retard and big foot and all those hurtful names. His only friend at his school is the toughest kid at his school named Rowdy. In overall, I think this book is fantastic because there are a lot of shoc king things happening in this book and I bet it's going to keep you on the edge of your seat! But I do have to warn that this book has a lot of bad words and deals with stuff like alcohol and masturbation. So I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!!!!!! -Dewayne
