It is about a 16 year-old girl that gets marked, meaning she is a fledging, and will someday become a vampyre. Her name is Zoey. on her forehead is a crescent shape moon that is colored in. The whole book is about how she stays at a place called House Of Night, which is a vampyre school, and how it is mysterious how she is the only fledging to have her marked shape colored in compleatly She has goes against a girl named Aphrodite because Aphrodite is really mean, and she is making some fledgings dring other fledging's blood, which is not good. Also 2 fledgings die because their body did not accept the change to become a fledging.
