This book is about a ShadowClan medicine cats life. Yellofang lives in the forest with her clan and three other clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, and WindClan. There is a lot of tension between the four clans and it seems as though Yellowfangs clan is the main reason. But Yellowfang is holding a dark secret and Brokenstar has just taken over the clan. He is a cruel leader but you will have to read more to find Yellowfangs secret.
Erin Hunter keeps any aged reader on the edge of their seats by adding in plot twists and cliff hanger and she will make you want to read the rest of the series.
