The Trials of Apollo: The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan

Apollo is a mortal with ungodlike flesh. Apollo stumbles along a secret bunker in his travels with Leo and Calypso. This unlikely trio consists of the bronze fire eater, an ex - titaness and sorceress, and what used to be a god. Apollo must go through his trials to become a god. However, Apollo learns that mortal compassion is more than he can take.
Because this time, he's battling the second emperor: Commodus, who was the only person that Apollo ever knew that he had murdered.
Apollo's a god. He shouldn't know.
