Eleven year old Lexie longs to be with her mother again in San Francisco but Toby her new husband thinks they are not suitable to take care of her. So instead Lexie is living with her strict grandparents in Portland Oregon.At school her class is getting ready to send a Friendship doll to the girls in Japan and the girl with the best letter to accompany the doll will win a ticket to the Farewell ceremony in San Francisco.If Lexie wins then she could be reunited with her mom.She just has to be the winner.
