In the book Love and First Sight by Josh Sundquist, it talks about a boy named Will Porter who is blind and transferring to a mainstream school from the school of the blind. On his first day of school not only did he grope a girl on the stairwell but he also sat on a fellow classmate at lunch. Little did he know the that the kid he sat on will add him into his small little friend group. In his new friend group, there is a girl named Cecily. Slowly Will starts falling in love with her, but once a chance of gaining his eyesight comes along he jumps on the chance knowing he finally might be able to see Cecily. Slowly as he gets his eyesight he notices a big “birthmark” covering Cecily’s face which causes a bunch of problems between the two. Read the book to find out the different problems Will will soon face.
