Nelson Mandela was a dark skinned African. As a child he dreamt of changing South Africa; as a man he changed the world. Nelson Mandela spent his life battling apartheid(segregation on grounds other than race) and championing a peaceful revolution. Until today, his name is still remembered as a great person standing for the rights of people no matter what race.
