The Giver by Lois Lowry
What character(s) in this book would you most and least like to be friends with, and why?
In The Giver I would most probably be friends with people that were very academic. i would probably be a justice and law person, and might be friends with Jonas. i follow that rules a lot so i probably would be againsed memories being reliced to the public. I also would probably not be againsed the commity. if I could chooses y role in the giver, then I would deffinetly help Jonas.
Which minor character in this book would you like to know more about? If there were a whole book about them, what would it be called?
If I could know more about any character in The Giver it would be Number 1. I do not remember her name, but I do remember that she was assigned to the nurturing center. I would like to know her job there and what her reaction to release was. If there was a whole book about her I would name it The One For Nurture.
If there was another character i could reaserch it would Jonas's mother. I would like to know what her Job discription was, and what her reaction was to Jonas's run. How did she handle the feelings of the aftermath of his escape? Her book would be named: Justice and feelings
If you could rewrite one part of the story, what would you change?
If I could rewrite part of The Giver, I would rewrite the ending. I think that what should really happen is that the giver and Fiona go with him. Fiona will have understood that her society is corrupt and will leave with him. They will go elsewhere, and have children together, Gabe will live happily and become a Phychologyst, and Jonas an artist, and Fiona, will open a Hospital. Then when they are old, and their childre have kids, they will come back to the community and find, a great peaceful comunity!! That they love.
If I could add a peice to the Giver, it it would be a prologue, to explaine somethings. but at the same time a prologue would in a way ruin the story, because part of the story, and the way Lois Lowery writes it, is so that we think beyond, and expand our thinking. So that puts me in a wresting mach with my self.
If this book were a food/color/song/smell, what would it be and why?
If this book was a...
Food...it would be Salted Caramel because it is deliciouse, and at the same time sticky
Color...it would be a shimmery pink purple because it is a pretty color, but not the best color
Song...it would be Blank Space n]by tailor swift, because that kind of sums up what is a happening in the community if you tweek the lyrics from heart break to betrayal
Smell...it would be black liquorice beacuse it is an intreaging smell and book
And if the government in The Givers society was classified into a catigory it would be and Oligarchy/Dictatorship
