What character(s) in this book would you most and least like to be friends with, and why?
In my opinion the main character in this book is interesting, but if I met J. Romero, and was in his class, then I probably wouldn't be his friend. he tries to sound humble in the book "No summit out of sight" but if you read closely he really isn't. And when he tells about the reaction of his friends, it really seems like they are also getting sick of him. Now, that does not mean that it is not an intersting book, It just means that the main character and I would not get along.
The narirator does not speak much about his surroundings except for on the mountains he is on, in the book "No Summit Out of Sight". So if I did live in his area, I would want to know the cultural characteristics of his area. Is it like Cambridge, or like Wisconsin?
Which minor character in this book would you like to know more about? If there were a whole book about them, what would it be called?
If I could know more abut a character in this book it would be the receptionist at the Inn near Elbrus. It the book the narirator talks breefly about the bad situation in European Russia. She fed ham an was very nice to them. She made sure they got good quallity food, though the expensises were high. Her book would be called "The Inn of Desaster"
Another character hat i would like to learn more about is the third ranger at Aconcagua. I wounder why he was so uptight. He would not not them through to start climbing. I wounder if it was something pesonally, like he didn't want the main character of No Summit Out Of Sight to get heart, or he was following rules, or orders.
