The Hunger Games is a really good book that caught my attention. I liked the thought of people being in an arena with themselves and left with only the nature. The Hunger Games has happened for many years in that world. Two people from a district is chosen, and they'd have to fight with the other districts. In a total, there are 12 districts. The main character of this book is Katniss Everdeen. She's a very caring person which I can tell is because she takes care of her mother and little sister. she loves them both with all her heart. Her mother is kind of sick I think because they're father left. I don't really remember a lot about the father since he's not mentioned a lot. I remember that Katniss always wore a coat of his that she favored. Primrose Everdeen is Katniss's little sister. She was like Katniss;s favorite even though she only had one sibling.
So this story is about Prim, Katniss's little sister, being chosen to be one of the victims of District 12, and Katniss volunteers to be a tribute if Prim doesn't have to be in the Hunger Games. Everyone is amazed because it'd been a long time since ANYONE volunteered to tribute for someone. The other person to be chosen for District 12 was Peeta. He's the son of a baker I think. Katniss and Peeta are thrown into the arena to fight with this being said," May the Odds be In Your Favor." -Fatima
