In my mind I think of A Corner Of the Universe to be one of those laid back homey books that are also incredibly enjoyable at the same time. Although the the book had some exciting parts that had me chewing my nails off A Corner Of The Universe was mostly a relaxing book.
I had read one other book by Ann M. Martin called A Dog's Life and I LOVED it. I had high expectations for A Corner Of The Universe and it met all of them.One thing I noticed that A Corner Of The Universe and A Dog's Life had in common is that they both ended up being relatively sad.
But I still loved them both and highly recommend them. -Nilu
