Fifteen year old kenny is trying to get out of Comfort, Texas. But there are three things keeping him from doing that and that is his mom geting enough money and persuading cindy to go with him. Mama ( Kenny's mom) took kenny's birth cirteficate and made xerxo copy and used a wite out and changed the information so kenny can get a hardship drivers license. When roy Dan Willson came back from prison mama threw a welcome home party. no one attended except for roy junior kenny mama jake ( Roy Dan Willson's friend).
