It is about this girl named Ashley Hannigan. She is in High school, and soon Prom will happen for the kids at her school. Though, Ashley hates prom because she doesn't get why people just dance and have to spend so much money for that day. But, soon everyone finds out that one of the teachers stole the prom money, so prom almost gets canceled until ashley comes up with a plan to have Prom in the Gym. everyone helps with it.
