it is about this girl named Julia that has graduated from high school and wants to study to become a lawyer, until on graduation her long distance sister Sophie somes and gives Julia a car, and keys to Sophie's house for the Summer. Julia then takes her new car to Vermont to visit her sister. Julia also learned from her parents that there had been a girl named Maggie before Julia was born but died at age four from asthema. that is all they tell her. so, Julia also goes to vermont to learn more about Maggie from her sister who was there when Maggie died. The rest of the story is how Julia helps Sophie refurnish the house to make it into a bakery. There she learns what really happened to Maggie.
