Seekers: Great Bear Lake by Erin Hunter

All the bears in Alaska and Canada (including polar, grizzly, and black bears) gather at Great Bear Lake. Kallik finds her brother, Taqqiq, but he is influenced by the other juvenile polar bears to do bad deeds. Toklo is forced to swim to Paw Print Island, which is in the middle of Great Bear Lake. During the long swim, he sees the spirits of Tobi and Oka, his brother and mother, who teaches him to swim properly. Lusa makes friends with Miki, another black bear, who gets kidnapped by the juvenile white bears (including Taqqiq), who wish to take over the black bear land, and kidnap Miki to show how the other white bears easy it is to take over the black bears. Lusa gets Toklo to help rescue Miki, and Kallik helps. Taqqiq also realizes how corrupt Salik, the leader of the juvenile bears, is, and stands up against him. Then Lusa, Toklo, Kallik, Taqqiq, and Ujurak start traveling together again -Albert
