Northwood by Brian Falkner
Would you recommend this book? If so, who would you recommend it to, and why? If not, why not?
I love this book. The black lions are very interesting. This book is full of mystery and I love history of the figuring it out but then I sort of sometimes get angry when the characters that's really stupid and don't figure out the mystery until like page 365. A great book to read during the summer and the chillingly Beautiful book to read during the winter. And I think that this is an amazing book and I really would like everyone to read it. An amazing book to read for animal lovers mystery lovers and girls.

Kalahari, by Jessica Khoury
This book is incredible. It is about 5 teens that get stranded in the Kalahari Desert in Africa, after an educational field trip goes wrong. They are alone, without a guide in a place that is tough to survive in even if you know what you're doing. Sarah, the daughter of a zoologist is the only one in the group that can help them. They feel like they are pretty well off, when an encounter with the strangest animal Sarah has ever seen, a silver lion, completely sets off everything they did and knew. Later, they find out that that lion is part of something bigger. Much bigger. It also has EVERYTHING to do with Sarah's mother. This enchanting book kept me reading till the very last page. Romance, suspense, horror, death. All of that makes a wonderful book, and all of that is in "Kalahari". READ IT!! - Emmie, Grade 7, Cambridge Street

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
If someone liked this book, what other books should they read?
First I wanted to summarize what this wonderful book is about! Brian is a 13 year old boy who had to face his parents getting divorced. He now spent his summers with dad and school years with mom. On his way to his dad his pilot in the 2 passenger plane he was on had a severe heart attack leaving Brian left with the plane. Brian lands the plane nearly dead and starts making a shelter. Read Hatchet to figure out what happens next! I personally reccomend reading his survival series they are outgoing to children of my age and older (10+). Read this book, I hope you get as hooked to it as I did.
