What Elephants Know by Eric Dinerstein

In What Elephants Know, baby Nandu is found abandoned in the forest of Nepal by the head of an elephant stable, to be raised among elephants and their drivers. Ten years later, Nandu is twelve and leading a happy life with his father, his best friend Dilly, and his most beloved elephant, Devi Kali. 

But when the king decides to shut down their stable, Nandu will do anything to save it. But a plan must be made, and fast. Time is running out.

Will Nandu be able to save his stable? Or will he be forced to leave the only home he has ever known?
