The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian written by Sherman Alexie
I was actually assigned to read this book and although I didn't really like it because I thought it was too boring I know others would. The plot is about this Indian boy who lives on a poor reservation and is trying to make something out of his life rather than rot with all the others on the Indian reservation. He has a mind beyond his years and is skilled in basketball but is bullied because of all his problems seizures and looks. - Liz
