A girl named Star moves from Oregon to California, and is teased at school because she lives in a trailer park. Star is in 5th grade, and she's very innocent and nice. She's just like Winnie in the books 10, 11, 12, and 13. Star has an older sister and a mom. Her dad left the family. Winter, her older sister is a teenager and goes to a special school because she wrote bloody stories about her classmates.
