The Giver tells of a story about a boy who lives in a world full of people who are blind to there surroundings. At the ceremony of 12's when people turn 12 they are assigned jobs. Jonas the main character has the ability to see beyond and is therefore set to be the next receiver. Receiver. I can not continue otherwise I might spoil it but I do recommend reading this book but there are a few graphic moments that you must try to avoid if not mature enough. You will probably find it in the young adult section. - Liz
